GLEAMNS



GLEAMS works in partnership with the community to deliver quality services, assistance, and opportunities to eligible customers with emphasis placed on education, employment, and developing self-sufficiency. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is designed to help eligible low-income households with their utility bills. Low-income people with annual incomes less than $15,600 for one person, or $21,000 for two people may qualify.

The 2-1-1 helpline provides referrals to programs to assist with food, housing, financial assistance, utility assistance, and more. Help is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. 211 is the most comprehensive source of information about local resources and services in the country.

GetCareSC is for Seniors, Caregivers, and Adults with Disabilities. The South Carolina Department on Aging maintains this website to help citizens of South Carolina connect to local resources in their communities. The website serves as a guide to services. You can find out what services are available and how you can access them.



Appalachian Council of Governments (ACOG)



ACOG is responsible for linking older adults, caregivers and disabled adults with needed services. They will assess the needs identified by the caregiver and identify the most appropriate services to meet their request.



ADMINISTRATION FOR COMMUNITY LIVING



ACL's objective is to help older adults and people with disabilities of all ages to live where and with whom they choose and fully participate in their communities. Finding services or supports to live in the community can feel overwhelming, especially when the need arises unexpectedly, such as after a fall or an accident. Many people do not know what services are available, whom to ask for help, or where to start. ACL provides resources that are available to help you find and access services in your area.

All About Seniors is a quarterly resource and referral directory of the Upstate, SC.
